It was so lovely to meet you at Alta's book signing. Needless to say, I was touched that you made that beautiful felt bag for me! I am so impressed by your commitment to social justice and community building. I've been carrying the bag with me to the farmers market and around town, imagining how Maria and Michelle must be enjoying theirs. With Gratitude, Alice Waters, Executive Chef and Owner - Chez Panisse, Author, Slow Food Advocate, Berkeley, CA
Thank you so much for taking the time to send the beautiful knitted/felted handbag. It was so thoughtful of you to think of me. First Lady Maria Shriver, Sacramento, CA
Now that I am carrying my beautiful bag on a full time basis, not a day goes by that it doesn't receive a compliment. Women ask, "If I made it, where did I get it, who made it, can I look inside, is that a Marcia bag?" and it is everywhere I go, everyday! ....... It has turned out to be an incredibly comfortable and functional bag and wildly amusing as well.......... Recently, I was touring a child development center in Oakland, and one of the day care providers, a Mrs. Peacock, asked me to leave the bag to her in my will. Dara Youngdale, Architect, Lafayette, CA
At first I wasn't sure if my purple bowler would fit my wardrobe.....I realized it wasn't the color but the style and art that goes with everything. I've used it with jeans, for a dressy work event, to work, on weekends, and everywhere it's met many compliments. Thank you for sharing your artistry. Pamela Chan, Director of Marketing, Lafayette, CA
I adore my fabulous MBT creation!! The red felted handbag is totally gorgeous - I am tickled Marcia! Sue Yamashita ("Mrs. Y"), Retired Teacher, Pleasant Hill, CA
Marcia, you are so incredibly talented, and I feel honored to have my very own MBT original! I will treasure it forever, and judging by how well it's made, it will last that long. Lauchlin Divine, Teacher, Walnut Creek, CA
Thank you Marcia for creating such beautiful pieces of art! The two pieces I own add such color, character and interest to my home. You are such an amazing talent! Caroline Buckley, Full Time Mother of Three, Art Collector, Lafayette, CA
I was in my favorite knitting store in San Francisco when a woman approached and said she loved my bag.
She said she was from Los Angeles then asked if my bag was the one Julia Roberts is carrying. I smiled
and said I didn't recall selling her one. Marcia Barrow Taylor, Artist, Foster Child Advocate, Lafayette, CA
The gift of one of your beautiful handmade clutches is very meaningful. I appreciate the time, energy,
love, and artistry that transforms your knitted fibers into the wonderful bags you make. Truly one of a
kind, and for me, so much of the meaning is that you made it with your hands. Thank you for sharing
yourself with me. Karen Mulvaney, Philanthropist, Foster Child Advocate, Lafayette, CA
Marcia, I am inspired not only by the beauty of your art but by the thought and attention to detail that
you put into the process of creating such beauty. When I carry my MBT bag I think of all of the
influences--the use of Japanese Shibori, the yarn from Manos del Uruguay, your artistic experiences
and perspective--that culminated in this one individual piece, and I am reminded that as women we are
all connected in our work and our contributions to the world. Thank you for your rich and unique
contributions!" Anna Lijphart, Refugee Rights Advocate (East Bay Sanctuary), Alamo, CA
My wife was very very pleased with the bag and I have been prompting her to give you her feedback. It really fits her colors and style....Thank you for sharing your art with us. Tim McCreery, Founder and CEO of WildPackets, Inc. and President of the Board of Youth Homes, Inc., Lafayette, CA
Marcia, Please forgive my delay in acknowledging receipt of your beautifully made Bella Bag. My husband Tim, surprised me with it as a gift on Valentine's Day and I have enjoyed using it ever since. It fits nicely as a shoulder bag and the varying colors and yarns are a combination of my favorite hues...The contemporary design of your bag works well with this lush fiber. Patty McCreery, Lafayette, CA
